New Beginnings? 19th April - 14 Nisan - Passover/Crucifixion

I think this is such a wonderful picture. Yeshua would have seen the Temple from Golgotha, the Place of the Skull (fitting name for the place where the Head of the Body was crucified) and would have been completely aware that precisely at the moment He would die for the sin of the World, (3 pm) the Passover Lamb would be slaughtered at the altar in the Temple.

Exodus 14:13 -14
Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still."

Here's the Strong's Analytical Concordance reference to the word 'deliverance', translated 'the Lord is going to save you' in the CJB...

Moses was saying, 'Stand still, you can't save yourselves; watch and see how Y-HW-H saves! Behold Yeshua!!'

So the cleansing East Wind (Ruach = Breath) comes and blows back (congeals) the sea so that the Israelites can walk through on dry land, across to Midian (Arabia), so that they can worship Y-HW-H at the mountain of Sinai on the other side.

So we are free through the Lamb of God, Yeshua's blood, the Ruach ha Kadosh (Holy Spirit (breath) of God) and the water of the Word of God, symbolised by our baptism in water, (which also symbolises our death to the old life), to walk into freedom into the Mountain of God - the New Jerusalem, the Body of Messiah.

HalleluYah! What a Saviour!

Within the last two weeks I have had contact with a number of people who are all hungry to get together around the Lord. Some contacted me, others, I telephoned. The group that F. and I were with last year wants to pick up where we left off and it looks as if a few others may join. Most seem to be people who have come to the Lord directly or indirectly through our contact with them in the past five years.

We're having a sort of relaxed Passoverish meal Saturday evening - nothing legalistic - just some symbolic elements to show those there how Yeshua fulfilled the feast at His crucifixion. They're all Gentile followers, our one Messianic Jewish sister will be celebrating with her family that night. I am really looking forward to sharing a meal (the Lord's Supper) together - and found out recently that when Yeshua said in John 14 to the disciples ...

'In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am...'

...He was saying what the Jewish bridegroom always said to his bride-to-be at the betrothal ceremony, after giving her the cup of wine to drink. In drinking it, she indicated that she accepted him as her husband-to-be. (The future cup of wine would be drunk at the wedding itself. ) Amazing.

So the Last Supper was Ekklesia's betrothal ceremony to the Lord and the receiving of the Holy Spirit at the resurrection of Yeshua, plus the Baptism of the Holy Spirit at Shavuot was His giving Ekklesia His pledge (engagement ring) that she was His and He would come for her when His Father said that the time had come.

B. (13) flies back to England on 20th April to school. He's had a really good start to his time there - his grades have improved a great deal, he is happy and occupied. Also, he was on a teens' retreat a couple of weeks ago, where he started to speak in tongues. This was a big encouragement. Subsequently he is showing more and more depth in the Way.

I think I heard a cuckoo this morning. Really want to start getting outside and get walking or jogging again. Hopefully after B goes back to school.
