Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Living in a pagan nation, the calendar is of course, also pagan. God's calendar however, marks the passing of the seasons rather differently, and in my opinion, far more logically than the Roman Gregorian calendar does.
Today is Nisan 1, the beginning of the Jewish religious year. Passover, the first great spring feast, is in 14 days time. We have been keeping, or at the least, meditating on these feast days, for the last 4 years, and are finding that there's a great deal more meaning and value in keeping them than the Roman church feasts.
As a matter of interest, the weather forecast has been saying that from the middle of this week, temperatures will warm up considerably. In other words, spring is about to arrive, which according to God's calendar, makes perfect sense. Creation obeys His laws. It's only man, who will go his own way, who lives out of sync with divine principles; no wonder there's no longer any sense of rhythm for most people. Their calendar is out of tune with the Creator's calendar.
